Paper Girls picture challenge and Scrapbooksteals Coral #5

For my next layout I combined a challenge from The Paper Girls Challenge Blog and Scrapbooksteals.com. The Paper Girls challenge was to use a picture found on Pinterest as your inspiration. Of course the colors were primarily pink with some orange and green. I am not a pink person so I had no clue what I would use until I remembered the Sweet Threads collection I have by Basic Grey. Coral #5 from Scrapbooksteals was the perfect layout to go with the picture inspiration. This page came together a little too easily for me I think.

Scrapbooksteals Coral #6 & MME Stamp challenge

My first scrapbook page in over a month and it feels great to be scrapping again! I have a new crafting area and it so much nicer than my previous one. I cannot wait to see what I create in my new inspired space. This page took me 3 days b/c I have no idea where all my various tools, papers, and embellishments are located since unpacking. Plus my son managed to demolish my glass button jar which took some strategic cleaning.

I used the layout by Scrapbooksteals.com and the stamp challenge from My Mind's Eye to create this page. The two borders underneath the rhododendron picture are Stella & Rose stamps along with all the tan lines/dots on the bottom half of the paper. The three flowers are also stamped and embossed.

My (new) Scrappy Place!

We just moved less than a month ago and I was so excited to start over in a new scrappy place. It took a few weeks to paint the walls, repaint my desk, get our shelves, and unpack all my scrapbooking boxes. I just created my first two pages in over a month and it was awesome. However, I do not have everything organized yet so I am still scrambling to remember where a particular embellishment is or where I stashed my favorite scissors. I will take more pictures later after my mom finishes my new curtains, I get better lighting down there, and I get it organized how I like. Here are a few to give you a preview though. The whole reason I am taking these now is that Authentique wants to see our scrappy places!

3 projects in 1

After I finished this page today, I packed up all my scrapbooking supplies. We are moving this week so I probably will not post again on this blog for 2 weeks or so. I combined 3 challenges in this one little layout b/c time is at a premium in between packing, phone calls, and errands. My oldest is turning 3 next week so I looked back at his newborn photos and could not believe that sweet little baby is the same walking, talking, growing boy I see today. He really is just an amazing kid and I have enjoyed being his mother more than I could have imagined before his existence. Here is a layout for my oldest boy entered into the following three challenges:

Pearl #10 - Scrapbooksteals.com

I am glad that the Pearl series from Scrapbooksteals.com ended this week as we are moving in less than two weeks. I never would have finished this series in a week or two. The sketch was a great 2 photo layout that let me scrap two photos I've wanted to for a long time. On a beautiful early fall day last year I took the boys to Garden of the Gods for a nice walk. We are lucky enough to live near one of the most beautiful city parks in the country and my 2 year old frowned and wanted to go home the entire time. I just love the contrast of the beautiful scenery and sunshine against Mr. Grumpy Pants.
