3 projects in 1

After I finished this page today, I packed up all my scrapbooking supplies. We are moving this week so I probably will not post again on this blog for 2 weeks or so. I combined 3 challenges in this one little layout b/c time is at a premium in between packing, phone calls, and errands. My oldest is turning 3 next week so I looked back at his newborn photos and could not believe that sweet little baby is the same walking, talking, growing boy I see today. He really is just an amazing kid and I have enjoyed being his mother more than I could have imagined before his existence. Here is a layout for my oldest boy entered into the following three challenges:

  1. Scrapbooksteals.com Mid Week Mojo Coral #1
  2. The Paper Girls Challenge #16: Baby
  3. Scrap FIT Workout #76 Diana's Color Inspiration

Pearl #10 - Scrapbooksteals.com

I am glad that the Pearl series from Scrapbooksteals.com ended this week as we are moving in less than two weeks. I never would have finished this series in a week or two. The sketch was a great 2 photo layout that let me scrap two photos I've wanted to for a long time. On a beautiful early fall day last year I took the boys to Garden of the Gods for a nice walk. We are lucky enough to live near one of the most beautiful city parks in the country and my 2 year old frowned and wanted to go home the entire time. I just love the contrast of the beautiful scenery and sunshine against Mr. Grumpy Pants.

My Mind's Eye September challenge & Scrapbooksteals.com Pearl #9

Moving is a lot of work. Moving with 2 small children and a household full of stuff seems insurmountable! It has taken me a week to get one scrapbook layout done and that is with half my scrapbooking supplies packed away. Is it sad that I am most stressed about how I am going to get any layouts done during the move? Due to my lack of time I am having to combine challenges. The theme of summer's end from My Mind's Eye and the layout challenge presented by Scrapbooksteals.com, however, made it very easy to do a 2 in 1. I spent way too much time on this layout and I attacked it not as a whole, but in sections. I was so focused on each individual part that I am surprised it turned out to be a pretty cohesive layout.

Authentique September sketch challenge & ScrapFIT Workout #75

Authentique's September sketch challenge was a super fun layout. Since I just did a page dedicated to my older son, I decided to honor my youngest with this sketch. I had so much fun making my own embellishments and this has a lot of little elements to it. Workout #75 from ScrapFIT was about using twine. I stuck to one color of twine that really adds to this page without making it look busy and overworked. I love this page just as much as I love the one I did for my other boy.

  • Authentique
    • Gathering "flourish", "grow", "together", "bloom", and bi-fold papers
    • Gathering Icons, Tabloids, Excerpts, and Alpha stickers
  • Mr. Huey's passport mist
  • The Paper Studio chipboard alpha

Pearl #8 - Scrapbooksteals.com

I cannot believe it has been a week since my last post and what a week it has been. We sold our house, found our new house, had an inspection, got a loan, and started making moving plans since we have less than a month until we close on both houses. Oy! Is it sad that I am already wondering how am I going to scrapbook during all of this?

Pearl #8 from Kristy Lee at Scrapbooksteals.com had be finally scrapping a photo that I've reached for 100 times but never felt I had the right sketch. I just love this layout.
