Pearl #6 - Scrapbooksteals.com

Pearl #6 from Scrapbooksteals.com was another single photo layout and I had the perfect photo in mind. I was sitting on the couch with the boys and they were playing footsie with each other. Luckily I had my phone nearby and snapped some pictures. I love their little toddler feet! I used pretty much all Fancy Pants Summer's End for this layout and the colors work so well with the black and white photo.

Products used in this layout:
  • Fancy Pants Summer's End paper, alpha stickers, design embellishments, filter embellishments, trim card, and 6x6 paper pad.
  • Mister Huey's pinstripe
  • Basic Grey fabric brads
  • Ranger stickles and tiny attacher

Monday Card Madness #97 - Scrapbooksteals.com

One of my favorite websites to both shop and get scrapping inspiration from is Scrapbooksteals.com. They have a week layout challenge and a weekly card challenge. I do enjoy layouts more than cards, but when a loved one has a special event coming up I will go the Monday Card Madness sketches for inspiration. I recently came across a tutorial for a paper flower that I wanted to try out. This morning I was practicing making one and it turned out pretty cool. Then I decided to check out the MCM for my parent's anniversary card. I was quite pleased when I realized I would be able to use my new flower with the sketch. Here is my take on MCM #97.

For this layout I used:
  • Fancy Pants It's the Little Things paper
  • WRMK Sew Easy floss
  • stash buttons, cardstock, and alpha stickers
  • Mr. Huey's pinstripe mist

Pearl #5 - Scrapbooksteals.com

Scrapbooksteals.com had two layouts to choose from for Pearl #5. They both were fantastic and used a lot of various papers and embellishments. I may do a layout based off of sketch 5b in the future, but for now I stuck with 5a. I used a picture of Fletcher and Dave at the Renaissance Festival last month. It was one of the first times Fletcher tolerated, even enjoyed, riding on Dave's shoulders. I love watching my boys and husband interact. Dave is just a great father and I am so thankful that my boys have him as their role model. Anyway, here are 2 of my favorite boys in another great layout based off a sketch by the incredibly talented Kristy Lee at Scrapbooksteal.com.

My son's first scrapbook page

I was working on a layout yesterday and my almost 3 year old asked if he could scrapbook too. Who am I to deny him the chance to create? I gave him some paper, markers, embellishments and 2 photos I had leftover from a previous page. He did a pretty good job for his time at bat so to speak. I laminated it because he insists on carrying it around and showing me and my husband his scrapbook page over and over again!

That's the face he makes when I ask him to smile!

Paper Girls challenge #13 and Authentique August sketch challenge

Since I have been so busy lately with the house on the market, running after two toddlers, and looking for a new house to move into I decided to combine two challenges. The Paper Girls Challenge this time around was all about birthdays. I have scrapped my boys birthdays already so I went back to my first birthday almost 30 years ago! For this birthday layout, I used Authentique's August sketch which was very conducive for a birthday page. So here is my take on the two challenges.

Pearl #4

Scrapbooksteals.com Pearl #4 gave us the option of two layouts. I chose the one with more pictures b/c I always take a ton of the boys and choosing just one to scrap is always so hard. I really like this layout as it features the photos and is light on the embellishments without looking sparse. It came together easily for me and I love the muted colors and the balloon sticker. The ducks I added for touch of whimsy.

Products used in this layout:
  • Crate Paper Lemongrass collection Orchard and Lime papers
  • Crate Paper Mia collection Stack paper
  • Fancy Pants Time For Springs Flower Patch  and Pour Me Out papers
  • Kiwi Lane Chesnut Drive template
  • Little Yellow Bicycle Fresh Print Clothesline cardstock stickers
  • Basic Grey glazed brads
  • October Afternoon Sidewalks cardstock stickers
  • The Girls' Paperie Paper Girl Flower Market Paper Route sticker
